Job Title: Business Analyst.
Location: Commutable from locations across South Wales & the South West: Cardiff, Caerphilly, Newport, Cwmbran, Bridgend, Swansea, Bristol or Gloucester.
Salary: c.£23-30,000 per annum, negotiable dependent upon experience.
Start Date: ASAP - February/March 2012.
We are currently working alongside an exceptional company based here in South Wales, assisting with their current search for a Business Analyst to join their organisation during a exciting period of growth.
We hope to find an experienced professional with extensive experience of managing system changes and upgrades through working closely with systems users as well as with the internel Development team, to ensure the smooth delivery of projects according to outlined/agreed project schedules. Within this position, you will be responsible for managing the successful implementation projects working closely with a technical development team. You will be responsible for managing change requests and mapping business requirements and working with the development team to reach successful conclusions.
We anticipate that the key tasks and responsibilities of this role will be:
*responsible for systems mapping and fully understanding its dependencies/associated systems.
*responsible for project requirements gathering, scoping and definition of project timescales.
*act as the primary link/bridge between user and developer in respect to systems requirements.
*responsible for successful delivery of requirements document to internal development team, to assist in the directing and advising of developers.
*support the business to implement system changes that meet business requirements.
*maintain high level responsibility for the quality of all system changes.
*recommend and implement a robust business management system.
*monitor the timely receipt and action of change requests.
*setting up and running business requirement workshops internally to capture, document and analyse current and proposed business requirements to fit with company's projects.
We anticipate that the successful applicant will have the following knowledge, skills and experience:
*strong communication, listening and time management skills.
*ability to work to deadlines with a result-orientated approach which focuses on commitment to delivery and quality.
*experience of business process mapping techniques(to capture and model requirements).
*ability to advise on best practice based on experience of system development processes.
*ability to adapt to working with a variety of different Project Managers.
*technically, if would be great if the successful candidate had experience of programming(.NET) or databases(SQL, Sybase) - an understanding, not necessarily to programmer level.
